Excellence (MROE) Training Course on CD
In the
Toyota Production System (TPS), the continuous improvement focus is the
elimination of all waste. Waste refers to activities that add cost
without adding value to the product or service. Examples of waste are
overproduction, defects, transportation, inventory, motion, waiting, and
over processing. How does MRO Stores effect the creation or
elimination of waste in an organization?
If a
critical asset has unplanned downtime due to a part failure and the
replacement part is not available, all seven waste sources occur. If
you have a high parts inventory and are stocking unnecessary parts, all
seven waste sources occur. MRO management must be integrated with all
the functions to ensure the customer receives the product they want,
when they want it and at a price that is valued.
MRO
stores is a key building block to achieving a competitive advantage and
sustaining a continuous improvement culture. This foundation can only be
accomplished by a solid partnership between commercial, maintenance,
suppliers, engineering and operations.
This is
becoming more critical because in the past 10 years, there has been a
significant focus and communication on the maintenance skill gap but
there is another skill gap that will impact an organization’s business
results. This gap is in skilled MRO personnel. Personnel who understand
the strategic and tactical activities of MRO storeroom and how they
impact business performance and customer service. The purpose of this
training is to meet this need and provide training for those individuals
involved in the MRO function and those who support the function.

of failure and risk of business interruption.

data required by CMMS and purchasing systems to optimize asset
management.

implementation steps to improve performance in MRO stores, maintenance
and operation.
